Don Dramstad passes, 3/28/2024


It is with heavy hearts that the National Capital Dahlia Society reports the death of long-time member, Don Dramstad.  Don died March 28, 2024 at his winter home in Florida.  At Don’s request, there will be no funeral.  Rhonda plans to have a celebration of Don’s life in the fall during dahlia season.

Dr. Amoz Chernoff Passes


 

With heavy hearts, The National Capital Dahlia Society and American Dahlia Society mark the passing of our close friend and long time member, Dr. Amoz Chernoff, who passed away at his home on March 25, eight days after celebrating his 100th birthday with his family.

Bill McClaren passes away 3/13/2018


Our beloved Bill McClaren, former owner of Alpen Gardens, and founder of the Montana Dahlia Society, passed away on March 13, 2018 at the age of 89.  Bill is survived by his wife, Lois; children, Steve, Marla, Mary, and Marjory; grandchildren, Jacy, Mandi, Dylan, and Jesse; and, great-grandchildren, Greta, Thomas, Vaida, Zachary, Ania, Drew, Devin, Will, and Addy.

Nancy Moore passes away 4/30/2018


With heavy heart we need to inform the dahlia community of the passing of Nancy Moore, who for more than the past half century, was a prominent member of the American Dahlia Society.
