The ADS Cut Flower Committee is thrilled to define a fresh and vibrant addition to our dahlia shows—the Dahlia Market Bunch class! While this class is completely optional, it offers an exciting opportunity for societies to spice up their show lineup and appeal to a growing community of cut flower enthusiasts.
With many societies experiencing a boost in membership, especially from growers selling at farmers markets, this new class is designed to show off blooms as they would be prepared for markets. To support this initiative, the Cut Flower Committee has developed a specialized score sheet to help judges evaluate these colorful bunches with fairness and clarity.
Heads up! Some judging criteria might feel a bit different for seasoned ADS judges. See the presentation below for more information.
In the meantime, if you’ve already added—or are thinking of adding—this exciting class to your show and have questions about how to judge it, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Cut Flower Committee at cut-flowers@dahlia.org. We’re here to help!
Let’s keep our shows fresh, fun, and blooming with creativity!
