Public Events Calendar

A new public Events Calendar has been added to website.  It is available under the NEWS/EVENTS main menu item.  The calendar will open in a new window/tab.

ADS members and local society leadership may add events to the calendar via in the new MMS system. For now, submitted events will not be available until approved by the calendar administrator.

ADS Local Society Grant Program

We are pleased to announce the introduction of the American Dahlia Society’s (ADS) Local Society Grant Program. Participating ADS societies may begin applying for this grant beginning in January 2026. Since its adoption by the ADS Board at their March 2025 Strategic Planning meeting, grant criteria have been defined, and the application process has been established.

Stanley Johnson and Les Connell Awards Announced

Congratulations to Steve and Sandy Boley of Sumas, WA for having the 2025 Stanley Johnson Medal awarded to their introduction, Irish Gnome.

Also, congratulations to Annie Walker, of Renton, WA, who’s introduction, Lake Hills Creamsicle has won the Less Connell Medal for 2025.

2025 Trial Garden and Seedling Bench Results Announced

Awarded to the cultivar that has the highest average trial garden score in the accredited trial gardens located across the United States and Canada during the previous year as an AA/A; B; BB; M; Ball/Miniature Ball/Pompon; ST/NX; and Waterlily.
