Congratulations on taking the next step in the American Dahlia Society judging program.

This is an open book exam. Please ensure you have the current Classification and Handbook of Dahlias as well as the ADS Guide to Judging Dahlias and any other relevant references you may have received from your local judging chair. Ideally you should complete the ADS training modules prior to completing this exam. If you haven’t already done so, please review the modules here.
Before beginning the exam, please ensure that you have the email address of your local judging chair – you will need this when you have completed the exam.
You will note that there are several photos in the exam. Please note that they may not be of assistance when answering the question they are near.
If you are signed into Google, you will be able to start, stop and then restart the exam at a later time. If not, you will need to complete the exam in one sitting. The exam questions are worth a total of 50 points which are a combination of multiple choice, true/false and matching questions. This should not take you longer than 60 minutes to complete.
At the end of the exam there is a ‘submit’ button. Once you hit submit you will not be able to return to the exam. You will see your results immediately, and they will also be sent to the email entered at the beginning of the test. You are responsible for forwarding this email to your judging chair or instructor.
IMPORTANT: In order to receive credit for this exam, you MUST forward your result email to your judging chair/instructor.
