None of our societies have their own web sites and it is unlikely that they would have one in the foreseeable future, given the fact that most of our members are pensioners who don't have access or can afford the technology. In South Africa there are at present only six dahlia societies,
four of which are in the Cape Town area within a radius of 50

| A few years ago my friend Ronnie Adams,published a brief history of dahlia growing in South Africa in the Puget dahlia Annual. I have an idea that it was in 1989 but I'm not absolutely certain. Cyril Higgo would give you a different perspective of the dahlia scene in South Africa. He remains the finest breeder of fims. | |
